Washington D.C. [USA]: The 2019 Billboard Music Awards hosted by American singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson turned out to be a day marked in history for Canadian rapper-singer Drake as he outnumbered Taylor Swift's 23 Billboard Music awards with his 27 wins.
As reported by Billboard, the ceremony was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas where Drake bagged the Top Artist title and won 12 awards and his all award count totaled to 27.
The top female artist title was presented to '7 rings' singer Ariana Grande, who won it for the first time. Another debut win came for the Korean group 'BTS' who won top group award.
The icon award was taken home by Mariah Carey.
