New Delhi: Hera Pheri fans have been waiting patiently for a third sequel, and now Akshay Kumar has shared some interesting news about the project. Official confirmation has finally arrived, after much speculation on the film's prospects. According to new revelations by Akshay Kumar, shooting for 'Hera Pheri 3' might start this year.
Even the actor himself is eagerly anticipating the commencement of filming ‘Hera Pheri 3’. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar said, "Even I am waiting to start Hera Pheri 3. I don't know, but if everything goes well, it will start this year. When we started Hera Pheri, we didn't know it would go ahead to become such a cult. Even when I saw the film, I didn't understand."
Paresh Rawal previously discussed the film and his relationship with his co-stars in an exclusive interview with India Today Digital, where he also touched on the possibility of a sequel. "After Hera Pheri, too, we have worked in many films together, and we respect each other as an artist, as human beings and friends. They are all secure actors. And we know what we have to do. It's not a kind of dark area where we don't know what is expected of us," he said.
About 'Hera Pheri'
A renowned classic in Indian film, the 2000 release, directed by Priyadarshan, featured Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty. The remarkable trio's exploits continued in the 2006 sequel, ‘Phir Hera Pheri’. After that, fans couldn't stop asking for a third film. For now, it has been reported that Akshay Kumar as Raju, Suniel Shetty as Shyam and Paresh Rawal as Baburao will be returning to reprise their roles in 'Hera Pheri 3'.
In the meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is getting ready to feature in the January 24th release of ‘Sky Force’, which also stars Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur.
