Director & 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 9' host Rohit Shetty is currently basking in the success of his latest release 'Simmba' featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles. 'Simmba' has broken many records at the box-office and has emerged as an all-time blockbuster. If latest buzz is to be believed then Rohit Shetty will be teaming up with superstar Salman Khan for a film soon. Yes, you read that right! Reportedly, Salman Khan will work with Rohit Shetty after wrapping up 'Bharat' and 'Dabangg 3'.

Seems like, Rohit Shetty's is loving making cop-dramas is Rohit Shetty's favorite currently as his first collaboration with Salman Khan reportedly belongs to the same genre. For the uninitiated, Rohit Shetty's latest release 'Simmba' & next release 'Sooryavanshi with Akshay Kumar too are cop dramas.

Speaking about the same, a source close to the development told a leading daily that, "Rohit and Sajid have met a couple of times to not just discuss the possibilities of collaborating on a film with Salman in the lead but also on the content. Among the many ideas they have discussed, one is a spin-off to the character of Devi Lal Singh AKA Devil from Kick, Sajid’s successful directorial debut. The 2014 film had an open ending with Salman’s character donning the khaki uniform. If the idea materialises as planned, it could be the take-off for Rohit’s film."

The source further told Mumbai Mirror that the film will release in the second half of 2020, possibly Christmas.

Rohit's yet untitled film with Salman, to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, will reportedly go on the floors by the end of this year.

Hmm...this is indeed a great news for Salman Khan's fans however the official announcement is still awaited!

On the professional front, Salman is all set to wrap-up 'Bharat' shooting very soon. Post which, he will star working on 'Dabangg 3'. Whereas, Rohit Shetty's next 'Sooryavanshi' will go on floor in June.
