New Delhi: The trailer of 'Modern Love: Mumbai', the Indian adaptation of American anthology series of the same name, has been released.


'Modern Love' (Mumbai) deals with 6 heartwarming stories from the city; of love that knows no bounds of gender, age or religion.


The trailer gives glimpses into the 6 lives that the series will be portraying featuring the likes of seasoned actors like Chitrangada Singh, Pratik Gandhi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Arshad Warsi among many others.


From the trailer, we see love brimming/struggling/expressing itself in all shades and emotions. From a young man proposing to an older woman, or a mother not liking her son's choice of an interracial partner, or relationships between same sex; looks like 'Modern Love' will follow Carney's critically-acclaimed series' model.


The films have been directed by Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava,Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, and Nupur Asthana.


Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, 'Modern Love Mumbai',is the first of the three localized Indian versions of the acclaimed New York Times column of the same name which was adapted into a mini TV-series by John Carney.

'Mumbai Dragon' - directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, starring Yeo Yann Yann, Meiyang Chang, Wamiqa Gabbi and Naseeruddin Shah


'My Beautiful Wrinkles' - directed by Alankrita Shrivastava, starring Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa and Tanvi Azmi


'I Love Thane' - directed by Dhruv Sehgal, starring Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik and Dolly Singh


'Cutting Chai' - directed by Nupur Asthana, starring Chitrangda Singh and Arshad Warsi


'Raat Rani' - directed by Shonali Bose, starring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat and Dilip Prabhavalkar


'Baai' - directed by Hansal Mehta, starring Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi and Ranveer Brar


'Modern Love: Mumbai' will begin streaming on Amazon Prime on 13th May.
