New Delhi: South superstar Mammootty's mother, Fathima Ismail, left for the heavenly abode in the wee hours of Friday. She was 93 years old. She passed away in a private hospital where she was admitted due to age-related issues. She is survived by Mammootty and his five siblings. Ismail was well-known in her village Chembu, in Kochi, for her lady-next-door persona. The last rites would take place in the evening at the Chembu Muslim Jamath Mosque.
On the work front, Mammootty will be seen in 'Bazooka' which is written and directed by Deeno Dennis, and produced by Theatre of Dreams & Saregama. Recently, the actor shared the title look poster of the movie on Twitter with the caption, "Presenting the Title Look Poster of Bazooka Written and Directed by Deeno Dennis, Produced by Theatre of Dreams & Saregama"
The stylish poster doesn't include Mammootty's face but does hint at what the film will be about. Mammootty, dressed in a black suit, stands with his back to the audience, surrounded by men with guns pointed at him.
Mammootty's body language exudes serenity, unafraid of the impending danger, as he stands in the centre, hands crossed, gun in hand, but at rest. The headlights of automobiles and flashy hotel signboards in the backdrop add to the poster's dark, sophisticated appearance.
The release date of this mass thriller has not yet been announced.
Apart from that, the actor was recently seen in the films 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam' and 'Christopher'. Additionally, the superstar has Jeo Baby’s 'Kaathal- The Core' also in the pipeline. Not just that, Mammootty also wrapped up the shoot of 'Kannur Squad', quite some time back.
