New Delhi: Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's wedding came as a surprise to many. Their lavish wedding in Rajasthan amidst close friends and family last year was a well-documented affair. The couple's wedding followed all the traditions of a Hindu/Punjabi wedding including the 'joota chupai' ceremony. In the recent episode of the Kapil Sharma Show featuring the 'Govinda Naam Mera' cast, Vicky Kaushal made an interesting revelation about the ceremony.
As per Vicky, it was Katrina who actually saved Vicky from paying a hefty amount to Katrina's seven sisters during the ceremony. Yes, you heard that right. Vicky revealed that two of his brothers from Ludhiana had assured the actor that they would take care of his shoes. However, when he was going to the mandap, Katrina's sisters made sure he wore no shoes and literally pulled his shoes from his feet.
By the time the pheras were over, Katrina wanted to take pictures before the sunset. As time was running out and pictures could not be taken, Katrina lost her cool and asked everyone to return Vicky's shoes. Following this, Katrina's sisters literally 'handed over' the shoes to Vicky for free. Vicky made the hilarious revelation on 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
Vicky and Katrina celebrated their first wedding anniversary earlier this month.
Recently, Vicky starred in 'Govinda Naam Mera' with Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar. Vicky also has Meghna Gulzar's 'Sam Bahadur' with Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Vicky will also feature in Laxman Utekar's untitled film with Sara Ali Khan.
Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif has Sriram Raghavan's 'Merry Christmas' and 'Tiger 3' in the pipeline.
‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ airs every weekend on Sony Liv.
