New Delhi: Manish Malhotra's Diwali bash was a star-studded affair. At the party, were spotted AIshwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor, and Madhuri Dixit among others. Interestingly, there was also a picture of Karisma Kapoor with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. For those unaware, Karisma was once engaged to Abhishek Bachchan. On Friday, Karisma took to Instagram to share a rare photo of herself with Aishwarya.
In the Instagram story which Karisma Kapoor shared, we see Karisma in a red saree, Aishwarya in a pink ethnic outfit posing together for a picture. In the same picture, we also see Madhuri Dixit in a lilac coloured saree. Karisma captioned the picture, "“Reunited with the OGs.” She also added a heart emoji and a lightning emoji to her caption.
Karisma Kapoor also tagged Aishwarya and Madhuri in the shared picture. The actor also shared solo pictures of herself from the party.
Abhishek and Karisma were said to be dating for many years before they were engaged to be married. Abhishek's sister Shweta is married to Karisma's cousin Nikhil Nanda. However, in 2003, reports of Abhishek and Karisma' broken engagement emerged. In an old interview with Rediff at that time, Abhishek Bachchan was asked about his split from Karisma, and his grandfather Harivansh Rai Bachchan's death around the same time, when he had said, “I am bound to feel the pain. But I have to rise above my personal problems.” He had further added, “As for my personal life, no one can force me to talk about it. It is my problem and my pain. The only ones I am answerable to are my parents and immediate family."
