New Delhi: Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's separation and divorce proceedings have been making news for a long time. Karan recently said in an interview that he wants his trial with Nisha to be broadcast live for the public, much like Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's trial. Karan and Nisha have been in a legal battle for custody of their son Kavish. Karan, when questioned about the possibility of a public trial being shown on television, said that he had nothing to hide since he is already being compared to Johnny.

For the unversed, after nine years of marriage, Nisha Rawal made allegations of domestic abuse against Karan in 2021. She took it so far as to press charges against him for attacking her.

During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Karan mentioned his wish for a TV trial like Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s case, saying, “If it could be like them (Johnny-Amber), that we could show, everybody could understand and see. But it doesn't happen in India. And for Johnny Depp, it took him 6-7 years to do whatever they were doing. That was different. Of course, now that case is being referred here, they are calling me Johnny and whatever, but the way we are going about these things is very aggressive. You file 9 cases, 10 cases, 20 cases, I am ready.”

Karan has previously made some surprising accusations about Nisha, including that she is indulging in an extramarital affair with her rakhi brother Rohit Satia. Additionally, he has initiated legal action for defamation against Rohit Verma.

In a press conference, Nisha addressed the rumours of an extramarital affair. She said, "What I do in my personal life is none of Karan's business nor what he does in his personal space any of my business. We're both adults and should respect that. I don't want to comment any further on this".
