New Delhi: As congratulatory messages for Ajay Devgn pours in after having won the National Award for best actor for 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior', his wife and actress Kajol Devgan took to her official social media account to pen a note for him. Taking to her official Twitter handle, Kajol wrote, "Team Tanhaji wins 3 national awards. So happy and proud ! Best Actor @ajaydevgnBest Popular film providing Wholesome Entertainment @omrautBest Costume @nachiketbarve#TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior."
Kajol also shared a BTS picture from the sets of the film. In the frame, we see Ajay and Kajol as they seem to be listening to what the film's director Om Raut seems to be saying.
Soon after Kajol shared the pictures, users commented on Kajol's post, some even praised Kajol's performance in the film.
Ajay Devgn had shared his elation for winning big at the 68th National Film awards. He said, "The actor said, “I’m elated to win the Best Actor Award for 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' at the 68th National Awards along with Suriya, who won for Soorarai Pottru. I thank everyone, most of all my creative team, the audience and my fans. I also express my gratitude to my parents & the Almighty for their blessings. Congratulations to all the other winners.”
Om Raut, the film's director, also congratulated Ajay and the team of 'Tanhaji'. He said, "I also congratulate Ajay Sir for his win as Best Actor in the film. He was Tanhaji in the truest form. This would be incomplete without a special mention for Saif sir whose support has been crucial for the outcome of this film. I would also like to congratulate Nachiket Barve and Mahesh Sherla who won Best Costume Designer for the same. 'Tanhaji' starred Ajay Devgn in the titular role with Saif Ali Khan as arch nemesis. The film had brilliant visuals and stunning action sequences. It was one of the highest-grossers of 2020, before the pandemic struck and changed digital consumption patterns forever.
