New Delhi: Justin Bieber will be performing in India very soon. Yes, beliebers! You heard that right. The Grammy-award winning pop icon will be performing in Delhi as part of his Justin world tour. His performance will take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on 18th October 2022. This will be Justin's second performance in India after his 2017 concert in Mumbai, which was part of his Purpose tour.
According to Billboard, the show is being co-promoted by AEG Presents and Indian entertainment ticketing platform BookMyShow.
Apparently, Bieber will be performing in over 30 countries, playing more than 125 shows - starting from May 2022 through March 2023.
This live music event will be the first since the pandemic hit that sphere of the entertainment industry. Perhaps, Justin's concert in Delhi will also receive the ailing live music industry in India as well.
Justin Bieber's Delhi concert will also be the first foreign act post pandemic at a stadium. Fans are going to be more than excited once they hear the announcement.
According to the same Billboard report, "BookMyShow will be issuing around 43,000 tickets for Bieber’s India visit." Going by the number of fans Bieber has in India and the turnout of his last show, this October gig will surely be a sell out.
The 'Sorry' star also happens to be the most-listened-to-non-Indian-artist on Indian music apps like Gaana and JioSaavn. On Spotify too, Justin Beiber is second to K-Pop icons BTS.
Earlier in 2021, Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun had called out the dismal state of infrastructure for international music artists to perform in India. He had said, “I’ve never understood why you guys are able to create the studios and Bollywood and everything else but there aren’t enough great venues. It’s very hard to tour properly a global superstar that you can see by streams, deserves to be there a lot more. The infrastructure is not set up properly every single time we come.”
Apparently, BookMyShow has opened the presale registrations for Justin Bieber's Delhi gig. The price per ticket is worth Rs 4000 ( $50), Billboard reported.
