New Delhi: The family comedy Jug Jugg Jeeyo, starring Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani, debuted with strong figures at the box office. However, on its sixth day of release, the movie's box office performance fell short of expectations after a strong showing over the weekend.
With 3.97 crores generated on its sixth day, JugJugg Jeeyo maintained its momentum from the previous two days. Dharma movies have announced that the film has crossed the 50 crore mark, with a total of 50.24 crores in the bank.
Dharma movies' official Twitter account posted a photo of the collection and wrote: "This parivaar’s love continues to bring families back to the big screen & serve entertainment with a solid punjaabbi touch!"
This year's sixth highest-grossing film is JugJugg Jeeyo. As a result, it is lagging behind films such as The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Samrat Prithviraj and Gangubai Kathiawadi. The film, starring Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan, is expected to make roughly Rs 13 crore in its second weekend if the box office performance continues as expected. Additionally, due to its sustained box office success, the film is expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark soon.
Jugugg Jeeyo, a film directed by Raj Mehta, premiered in theatres on June 24. Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani join Varun Dhawan in this family drama. Streaming rights have been purchased by Amazon Prime Video for its post-theater release.
