New Delhi: 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' is having a decent run at the box office ever since its release on June 24, 2022. The Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani starrer is receiving rave reviews from all quarters and is mostly working from its word-of-mouth positive reviews. In its first weekend, the film collected Rs. 41.75 crores.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his official Twittter handle to share 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo's box office collection. Taran Adarsh wrote, "#JugJuggJeeyo remains steady at national multiplexes, which is driving its biz... #Delhi - #NCR remain key contributors... Decline on Mon [vis-à-vis Fri]: 48.06%... Fri 9.28 cr, Sat 12.55 cr, Sun 15.10 cr, Mon 4.82 cr. Total: ₹ 41.75 cr. #India biz."
According to Adarsh, there has been a 48.06% decline in the film's business on Monday and yet it remains steady in multiplexes across the country.
'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' is a parallel-life tale of a father and son's life, both of whom are in the midst of considering divorce from their respective spouses.
Critics have hailed this Bollywood entertainer as a new kind of film that tries to bring in new conversations around marriages and yet manages to stay within the confines of the typical genre comedy that plays safe.
The film has been directed by 'Good Newz' director Raj Mehta. Its story has been developed by Anurag Singh who has directed 'Kesari' and Punjabi films like 'Punjab 1984', 'Jatt and Juliet Series' and 'Yaar Annmulle'; all commercially successful films.
'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' also stars Maniesh Paul, Prajakta Koli and Tisca Chopra. The film is a Dharma Productions feature film.
