New Delhi: Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has tested positive for COVID-19. The 'Jersey' actress took to her Instagram to share the news. 


She wrote,"I have tested positive for COVID-19. As of today, I have mild symptoms but I am feeling okay and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals.

Mrunal was last seen in Kartik Aaryan starrer 'Dhamaka'. She will next be seen essaying the role of Shahid Kapoor's wife in the cricket drama 'Jersey'. The film's release has been postponed owing to the rising Omicron scare.


With a spike in COVID-19 across the world, Mumbai is seeing a massive surge in positive cases. Bollywood celebrities are also bearing the brunt of flouting the protocols as they contract the virus. Recently, actress and dancer Nora Fatehi tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, December 28. 


Nora's team issued an official statement informing about the same. The statement read as,"On behalf of Nora Fatehi, as her spokesperson, would want to inform that Nora Fatehi has tested positive for Covid on 28th of December. Abiding by the protocols, Nora has been quarantined under the doctor's observation since then and has been cooperating with BMC for the safety and regulations."


Actor Arjun Kapoor and his sister Anshula Kapoor, cousin and designer Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani also contracted the virus recently. Their aunt Maheep Kapoor and cousin Shanaya Kapoor had been affected earlier.
