New Delhi: Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner left his fans in a state of shock after reports of the 'Endgame' actor being severely injured in a snow plowing accident started doing the rounds. Renner was involved in a weather-related accident near Reno, Nevada, during the morning of New Year's Day.


After being transferred to a nearby medical centre, Renner underwent surgery on Monday.


On Wednesday, the actor shared his first pic post his surgery, on social media. Jeremy can be seen lying on a hospital bed as he took a selfie in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. His face had bruises. In the post, Jeremy expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who pryaed for his well-being and speedy recovery.


Sharing the picture, he wrote, "Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all."

Other popular celebrities including Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans wished the actor a speedy recovery and hailed him for his bravery.


Russo Brothers wrote, "Sending all of our love, brother, and hopes for a speedy recovery ♥️"


Chris Hemsworth commented, "Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!" while Chris Evans wrote, "Tough as nails. Love you buddy ❤️"


Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor also dropped heart emojis on Jeremy's post.


Actor Steve Aoki wrote, "Brother u r a superhero to all of us. U will get through this with flying colors. Love and positive energy to u!"


Renner has owned a home in Washoe County for several years. The northern Nevada area was pummeled by heavy snowfall during a storm on New Year's Eve, with more than 31,000 people losing power, according to News 4.


Along with his popular appearances as Clint Barton, a.k.a. Hawkeye, in the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe, Renner is currently anchoring Taylor Sheridan's drama series 'Mayor of Kingstown', with a second season due out later in January.


He is also a two-time Oscar nominee, for his turns in 'The Hurt Locker' and 'The Town'.
