Is Alia Bhatt's Cat Edward A Gift From Sidharth Malhotra? Sid’s Fans Believe His Latest Interview Is The Hint

The interview sparked rumours amongst Sidharth Malhotra's fanbase that he was the one who gave Alia her cat.

New Delhi: The news that ‘Shershaah’ star Sidharth Malhotra is in a relationship with Kiara Advani has been making headlines recently. On the other hand, before his romance with Kiara, Siddharth was heavily linked to the actress Alia Bhatt, who is now married to the actor Ranbir Kapoor. Alia and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot after dating for over four years.

Recently, in a round of rapid-fire questions with Bollywood Bubble, Sidharth was asked to share a single takeaway from his last relationship. As for the actor's response, he said, "I think I learned from my last relationship - don't gift pets." 

Siddharth answered, "The cat...Edward," when asked what one thing from Alia Bhatt he would want to steal. 

The interview sparked rumours amongst his fanbase that he was the one who gave Alia her cat. People began making connections, too, and assuming that Sidharth gifted the cat while they were dating.

Earlier on Karan Johar’s chat show, ‘Koffee with Karan’, Sidharth mentioned his supposed ex-girlfriend, Alia Bhatt, on the show, or at least hinted that he was referring to the actress. When Karan Johar asked in the rapid-fire round what he missed most about his ex, he answered, "Her cat."

Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra both made their Bollywood debuts in Karan Johar's Student of the Year. The duo also appeared in ‘Kapoor & Sons’. The Shershaah actor reportedly broke up with Alia Bhatt because he wasn't ready for a serious relationship and wanted to put his whole attention on his career. The rumoured pair never acknowledged nor rejected reports of their romantic relationship.
