New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan and Said Ali Khan starrer 'Vikram Vedha' has seen a drop in its box office collection on Monday after recording a decent figure at the box office in its first weekend. The film's total four day collection stands at Rs. 43 crores. Directed by Pushkar- Gayathri, 'Vikram Vedha' also stars Radhika Apte and Saytadeep Mishra. 'Vikram Vedha’ earned Rs. 5.5 crores on Monday, reported Bollywood Hungama.
According to film critic and trade analyst Tara Adarsh, 'Vikram Vedha' has had an opening weekend far below the estimated expectations. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#VikramVedha fares way below expectations in its opening weekend... Needs to trend well on weekdays... Biz should get a boost on #Dussehra... Fri 10.58 cr, Sat 12.51 cr, Sun 13.85 cr. Total: ₹ 36.94 cr. #India biz."

'Vikram Vedha' is a neo-noir thriller which also happens to be a remake of 2017 Tamil film of the same name.
The film was released alongside 'Ponniyin Selvan-1', Mani Ratnam's epic in theatres. 'Vikram Vedha' also needs to trend better on Dusshera to be able to make a mark. 'Ponniyin Selvan', on the other hand, has been doing great business. The Mani Ratnam film has already collected Rs. 200 crores at the box office.
In the original film, R Madhavan played the cop( played by Saif in the remake) and Vijay Sethupathi- gangster( portrayed by Hrithik). Inspired by the Indian folktale Vikram-Betaal, the film follows a police-chase sequence.
