New Delhi: Looks like Hansal Mehta the 'Modern Love Mumbai' filmmaker took inspiration from the series title to get married to his long time partner Safeeena Husain. Both have been together since 17 years and have two sons. The reputed filmmaker took to his official Instagram handle to make the announcement along with pictures of the intimate wedding ceremony; one of which featured a marriage certificate.


Hansal captioned his Instagram post, "So after 17 years, two children, watching our sons growing up and chasing our respective dreams we decided to get hitched. As always in life, this was also impromptu and unplanned.Our vows however were truthful and but for this little ceremony they would never have been said. Ultimately love prevails over all else. And it has…"


In the pictures, we see the couple holding placards of love and posing for the camera. The wedding ceremony took place at the Taj Campton Place.


Soon after Hansal Mehta shared the post, actors who have worked with him in the past including Rajkummar Roa and Pratik Gandhi shared a heartfelt post for the couple.


'Scam 1992' star Pratik Gandhi wrote, "This is lovely ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Well it’s inspiring and pressurising too. @bhaminioza is already giving me heard looks. 😂."


Rajkummar Rao who worked with Hansal on multiple projects wrote, "Congratulations my fav couple. You guys complete each other. I love you both. ❤️❤️."
