New Delhi: 'GoodBye' starring Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna has started off poorly at the box office. The film earned Rs. 90 lakhs net on day one at the box office, reported BoxOfficeIndia.com. Despite having discounted prices on Day 1, the film failed to make a mark on the box office. In fact, according to the same BOI report, the Vikas Bahl directorial has earned less than the Day 1 collections of 'Dhokha-Round D Corner'.
'Vikram Vedha' on the other hand also saw a decline on Friday. The Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer must see good numbers on Saturday and Sunday to see the film remain steady at the box office. According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, "#VikramVedha faces a decline on [second] Fri... Better numbers on [second] Sat and Sun are a must... #Mumbai [₹ 17.55 cr] and #DelhiUP [₹ 12.64 cr] circuits are key contributors... [Week 2] Fri 2.54 cr. Total: ₹ 61.11 cr. #India biz."
'Vikram Vedha' collected Rs. 2.40-2.75 crores nett approx on day eight which is a 20-25% drop from Thursday, reported Box Office India. The Pushkar Gayatri film continues to be dull in mass circuites. With new releases like Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather', Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ and 'GoodBye', there are chances that the box office collections of 'Vikram Vedha' drop further.
‘Ponniyin Selvan 1’ on the other hand, has been doing exceptionally well even on weekdays. Taran Adarsh tweeted the film’s business on its official social media handle. “#PS1 *#Hindi version* has fared well in Week 1... Excellent trending on weekdays... Should stay strong in Weekend 2... Mani Ratnam’s ensemble epic-period drama ‘PS-1’ is also his magnum opus which has received positive reviews unanimously from critics and audiences alike.
Meanwhile, the performance of Rashmika Mandanna starrer will have to be analyzed over the weekend to see the complete result.
