Showik Chakraborty Gets Bail: Rhea Chakraborty’s Brother Gets Relief In NCB's Drugs Case After 3 Months
Recently, another actor and writer Zeishan Quadri has been booked for allegedly ‘cheating’ a co-producer. According to a report of ANI, Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against Zeishan for ‘cheating’ his co-producer with Rs 1.5 crore. The complainant and his friend invested in a web series which Quadri was supposedly making for an OTT platform.
The report read, “Mumbai Police register FIR against actor & writer Zeishan Quadri after a co-producer filed a complaint against him for 'cheating him with Rs 1.5 cr which he & his another friend had invested in a web series which Qadari was supposedly making for an OTT (over-the-top) Platform'.”
The police told ANI, “A complaint has been registered under the Indian Penal Code sections 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust), after a co-producer Jatin Sethi filed a police complaint against him for cheating him with his finances of Rs 1.5 crore which he and his another friend had invested in a web series which Quadri was supposedly making for one OTT Platform.”
Zeishan Quadri reportedly did not return the financer’s money on the due date. He, however, gave a few cheques, which got bounced.
Zeishan Quadri has written the story and has co-written the screenplay of the popular Bollywood crime genre film ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’, helmed by Anurag Kashyap. His recent works include screenwriting for ‘Chhalaang’.
