Mumbai: Legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai earlier today. The ‘Devdas’ actor has been shifted to the hospital after encountering breathing issues. Now, according to the latest update, his health is stable and is currently under oxygen support in the ICU.
Dilip Kumar has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion which is also referred to as ‘water on the lungs’. According to a report of ANI, “Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and kept on oxygen support in ICU ward. His condition is stable: Dr Jalil Parkar, the pulmonologist treating the actor at Mumbai's PD Hinduja Hospital”.

Dilip Kumar wife Saira Banu shared his health update while speaking to ABP News and informed that the veteran actor was not keeping well for the last few days. She further shared that Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital at around 8:30 am on Sunday and that tests are being conducted under the supervision of Cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale.
Also, last month, Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital for his routine check-up. Fortunately, he was quickly released after the tests were conducted. The actor lost his two younger brothers Aslam Khan and Ehsan Khan to COVID-19.
Dilip Kumar was last seen on-screen in the 1998 movie ‘Qila’ where he portrayed a double role.
