New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming films like 'Dunki', 'Pathan', and 'Jawan'. With three major releases in the pipeline, rumours about SRK reprising his iconic role in 'Don 3' have also been doing the rounds. Buzz around the film is that after the failure of 'Zero', Shah Rukh is super careful about the projects he takes up.

According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Shah Rukh Khan has turned down the script of 'Don 3' for the time being. The same report also said that since Don's third installment is highly-anticipated, SRK wants to be careful about the storyline before signing the project. It's not like SRK has rejected the script but that he is not 'fully convinced' with it. Thereby, Farhan Akhtar has gone back to making changes which might convince the superstar to come on board, the report concluded.

Shah Rukh is in the last leg of shoot for his three upcoming films- 'Pathan', 'Dunki', and 'Jawan', reported ETimes and has thus begun looking at different projects and reading more scripts. Given the current box office scenario where Bollywood hero-led films are not doing that well, the entire industry has been sitting and watching out what will and what will not work.

A few months ago, when Amitabh Bachchan had shared a picture of a crowd outside a theatre for his 1978 classic 'Don' and another picture with Shah Rukh Khan, reports around 'Don 3' had started brimming with excitement.

Later, Excel Entertainment did confirm that 'Don 3' was very much a possible sequel to 'Don' and 'Don 2'.In fact, according to ETimes, 'Don 3' has a fair chance of seeing Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan collaborate.

If and when 'Don 3' is locked, it will become one of the most awaited films of SRK considering how the first two installments were such a success.

'Don: The Chase Begins Again' or 'Don' directed by Farhan Akhtar starred Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra. The film was a massive box office success and collected about Rs. 106 crores at the box office when it released in 2006. 'Don 2: The King Is Back', also known as 'Don 2', reprised SRK and Priyanka Chopra's roles and was released in 2011. 'Don 2' was also a major box office blockbuster, collecting around Rs. 203 crores.
