New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor didn't just get married in Mumbai. What if we told you, there was another wedding in Kolkata. Would you believe us? It's not like the couple had a secret wedding in Kolkata, but fans of the couple recreated a Bengali marriage between the two using life-sized dolls.
Fans of Ranbir and Alia dressed up two dolls as quintessential Bengali groom and bride. They used Alia and Ranbir's face masks to give the dolls a more real look.
Alia's figurine wore a red and gold saree with the Bengali shakha pola and Ranbir's doll was dressed in a dhoti-kurta and topor.
In fact, such was the zeal of fans that they carried the groom to the wedding venue in Ballygunge 21 Pally in a hand-pulled rickshaw and the all rituals of a typical Bengali wedding were followed to solemnize Ranbir and Alia's wedding.
A fan club posted the pictures of the wedding on Twitter. Check them out.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in an intimate ceremony with close friends and family at Vastu, Mumbai on Thursday(14th April). Congratulatory wishes poured in from all quarters as Alia posted pictures of her fairytale wedding on Instagram.
