New Delhi: On Thursday, actress and television host Anusha Dandekar turned to social media to explain why Gauri Khan had prevented her from interviewing her daughter Suhana Khan. The actor wrote a lengthy statement to quash the rumours and asked people to stop "bullying" her.
Anusha Dandekar responded to the widely-shared video in which a VJ asks Suhana Khan for an interview and her mother, Gauri Khan, emphatically declines. Internet users rushed to mock Anusha for interviewing those who didn't want to be questioned.
During the occasion, the mother and daughter declined to do an interview with Anusha, although Shah Rukh did have a lengthy conversation with her.
Amid the online harassment and speculaiton, Anusha Dandekar appropriately replied to criticisms. Anusha provided an explanation for the video on her Instagram stories, writing, “This constant controversy you are trying to create just because you want to be haters and because you are so called fans of people who weren't at this event, you want to try and make sure I somehow come out looking bad, well sorry I can't be part of your plan.”
She went on to say that she had a successful stint at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and that it was fine with her if someone felt awkward for the interview. She wrote, “Some people don't like to give interviews and never have and that's totally okay. And some have to wait for their release till they do any interviews. THE END. I think I did a great job and I'm really good at what I do...but no one's stopping you to try my job if you have so many opinions. I wish you happiness, so you will finally stop being bullies.”
The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre ( NMACC) opened last Friday. Nita Ambani's dream project, the cultural centre, aspires to act as a tool to conserve and promote Indian arts.
