Explaining how he discovered the alleged similarities, Santosh said he only realised the overlap after watching the film, which is currently performing exceptionally well at the box office. He told the media, “You all must have probably seen Dhurandhar 2. It is performing very well everywhere. After watching the film, I realised that it is my script and story. I had written it with a lot of hard work in 2023. I had narrated it to many companies, because I was told that if a film needs big actors, it must have the backing of a corporate organisation.”

Script Was Registered With Industry Body

Santosh further revealed that he had shared his script with several major production houses while attempting to develop the project on a larger scale. These reportedly included leading studios such as Sony Pictures, Zee Studios, T-Series, and Dharma Productions.

He also mentioned that his initial casting vision was different, with Aditya Roy Kapur in mind for the lead role. Importantly, he stressed that his script had been officially registered with the Screenwriters Association in November 2023, adding weight to his claims.

Reiterating this, he said, “I tried a lot and sent my story to many people. I am a member of the Screenwriters Association, and I registered my story there in November 2023.”

Legal Action On The Cards

While acknowledging the film’s success, Santosh made it clear that he plans to take legal action. Expressing his disappointment, he said, “I am filing a case against this film, because even though they have made a good film, my story has been wrongly used. I wrote this film for cinema and entertainment, but they turned it into political propaganda. This makes me feel hurt.”

He further mentioned that the issue goes beyond just his personal experience, adding, “What happened to me should not happen to anyone else, and that is why I will try my best to tell people about it.”
