New Delhi: Dhanush is making his Hollywood debut with the Russo Brothers’ film ‘The Gray Man’. The film, also starring, Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, and Regé-Jean Page, will premiere on Netflix on July 22. After attending the premiere of the film in US with his sons, Dhanush walked the red carpet in Mumbai for the film’s premiere on Wednesday.
Dhanush made a stylish red-carpet appearance by going all desi and opting for a white half sleeve shirt, a white veshti and sandals. He stole the limelight with the traditional South Indian attire. The actor posed with directors Joe and Anthony Russo, who are in India for the screening.
Dhanush also met actor Vicky Kaushal at the screening and had a chat with him for a while. Actor Randeep Hooda was also present at the event.
Meanwhile, the Russo Brothers, who posed for the photographs with a namaste, were dressed up in suit for the event.
Dhanush in a press interaction revealed how he got the role in ‘The Gray Man’. Dhanush was asked how he got the project and he replied, “I don’t know how I ended up in this film. The casting agency in India told me that they have a Hollywood project for me. They said it is a big film. So I said okay. I asked which film, what film? They said it is a big film. So I said alright, and it can’t get bigger than this.”
He further added: “I was thrilled and very excited. Of course, I don’t get to say much in the film. I was super thrilled and was looking for an opportunity to learn and explore.”
‘The Gray Man’ is based on the book of the same name by Mark Greaney.
