Popular comic and TV show host Kapil Sharma is heading to Netflix for his digital debut. Though it is unclear whether the project is a comedy special, series or film, it will premiere on the streamer in 2021 across 190 countries.


Kapil Sharma said he is looking forward to his first-ever association with Netflix. '2020 has been a bumpy ride for everyone around the world and my motive is to make people forget their worries and welcome this new year with love, laughter and positivity,' the 39-year-old actor said in a statement. 'I always wanted to be on Netflix but I didn't have their number,' he quipped. Sharma said the project is close to his heart, adding 'I cannot wait to share more details with my fans soon.'

A video announcement was released by Netflix India in which Kapil is introducing himself and trying hard to pronounce 'auspicious'. He then talks about being a part of the streaming platform based in India, thus making Hindi as his primary language.




Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath are parents to a one-year-old baby girl named Anayra who celebrated her first birthday on December 10.  Kapil, who saw a downfall in personal and professional life in 2016 after his mid-air fight with Sunil Grover, bounced back after his marriage with Ginni. His longtime girlfriend proved lucky for him.

On the work front, Kapil is currently busy with The Kapil Sharma Show. He has acted in movies namely Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Firangi.
