The bitter feud between US President Donald Trump and late-night television host Stephen Colbert is not new, and has erupted again. This time, through an AI-generated video that quickly spread across social media. Days after CBS aired the final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Trump shared an AI-generated clip appearing to show him throwing Colbert into a dumpster placed on the host’s own set.

AI Video Shows Trump Throwing Colbert Into Dumpster
The video opens with Trump lifting Colbert and tossing him into a bin positioned inside the Late Show studio. Moments later, the clip cuts to Trump dancing to YMCA by Village People in front of a cheering crowd.
The US President posted the video without any caption, but it rapidly gained traction online due to the long-running hostility between the pair.
The post arrived shortly after CBS broadcast Colbert’s final episode, bringing an end to his 11-year stint as host. Colbert had taken over the programme in 2015 after David Letterman stepped down from the show.
Trump Celebrates End Of The Late Show
Trump has repeatedly criticised Colbert over the years, often attacking the comedian’s ratings and performance style. After the final episode aired, Trump publicly celebrated the show’s ending on social media.
“Colbert is finally finished at CBS. Amazing that he lasted so long! No talent, no ratings, no life. He was like a dead person," Trump wrote on his social media platform.
The remark followed earlier comments Trump made after CBS announced the programme’s cancellation last year.
"I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings," Trump wrote at the time."
"I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert! Greg Gutfeld is better than all of them combined, including the Moron on NBC who ruined the once great Tonight Show."

Social Media Reactions Pour In
The AI-generated clip sparked strong reactions online, with users sharply divided over the post.
One social media user joked, "@realDonaldTrump, I fixed it for you! I hope you love it!" In their edited version of the clip, the roles were reversed and Colbert was shown throwing Trump into the bin instead.
Another user wrote, "Colbert finally got booked for the one gig he’s perfect for: headliner at the city dump. Trump didn’t cancel the show -he just took out the "trash"."
A different commenter took aim at Trump by writing, "Can’t wait to watch your new hit movie: Saving Epstein Clients."

Others criticised the US President for sharing the video. One user commented, "The American President releasing such videos is childish."
