New Delhi: Triptii Dimri has been courting controversy ever since the actor was accused of skipping an event in Jaipur after charging money for her appearance. The 'Animal' actor has broken her silence over the row. Organisers of a Naro Shakti event of FICCI FLO's Jaipur chapter said that Triptii was scheduled to attend their event on Tuesday but failed to show up. The actor, it seems, has now denied it.
A statement from the actor's end was shared by her spokesperson stating that she attended all the events she had committed to in Jaipur. "During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Triptii Dimri fully honored her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film," the spokesperson said.
The statement also slammed the organisers' claim that she committed to attending any event or charging money for it. "Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties. It's important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities," the statement further read.
How it began
On Tuesday, it was reported that Triptii was supposed to attend an event organised by FICCI FLO at Jaipur on Nari Shakti in a hotel located on JLN Marg but she did not show up. Reportedly, she had also charged Rs. 5.5 lakh for it. A woman from the organising committee said that a case would be filed against the 'Qala' star and that her upcoming film should be boycotted.
Several viral videos from teh event show people defacing Triptii's poster and calling a boyvott of her upcoming film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’.
