New Delhi: Wrestler Babita Phogat paid her respects at the prayer meeting of Suhani Bhatnagar, the young actress known for her role as Junior Babita Phogat in the acclaimed movie '’Dangal'. The prayer meeting took place in Faridabad, Haryana on Monday, February 19, as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to remember Suhani, who tragically passed away at the age of 19.

Photos from the prayer meeting circulated on social media, capturing Babita Phogat's presence as she joined in mourning Suhani's untimely demise. One image showed Babita holding the hand of the grieving mother of the late actress.

Babita took to her Instagram to share these moments and extend her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

She wrote in Hindi, “Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of my childhood in the film Dangal, reached her Faridabad residence today and paid condolences to her family and expressed condolences. Om Peace.”

Starring Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra, ‘Dangal’ was directed by Nilesh Tiwari. Actresses Suhani Bhatnagar and Zaira Wasim portrayed the young Phogat sisters, Babita and Geeta, respectively.

Suhani Bhatnagar’s Reason Of Death

The tragic passing of Suhani Bhatnagar follows her diagnosis of dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disorder, just two months prior. Despite intensive medical intervention, including steroid therapy to control the condition, Suhani's health rapidly declined. She was hospitalised at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where her condition deteriorated further, complicated by respiratory issues.

The actress' father Puneet Bhatnagar told ANI, "Even after putting her on a ventilator, her oxygen level was very low, and then yesterday evening at 7 pm, the AIIMS doctors said ‘she is not more.”

Suhani Bhatnagar's unexpected death has shocked both the film industry and her admirers, who mourn the loss of a promising young actress.
