Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend Somy Ali has been garnering attention for her recent post for gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, where she mentioned that she wants to interact with him and analyse his psyche. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, the former Bollywood actress also talked about her almost decade long relationship with the superstar, that ended because of Aishwarya Rai, who entered Salman's life.

On being asked why her relationship with Salman Khan, that began in 1991 and continued till 1999, ended, Somy Ali said, "I won't answer that question because I’m a woman, and I don’t want to bring another woman’s name into this. That woman has now moved on, and it's been 22 years."
However, during an earlier interaction with Zoom TV, Somy Ali opened up about how Aishwarya's entry into their lives took Salman and her apart. Somy said, "The shoot was going on when I called up Salman but he didn't pick up. Then I called Sanjay Leela Bhansali and he said, 'he can't speak to you right now because he's in a shoot'. I was like 'if he is in a shoot, why aren't you directing it? Why are you picking up my phone call?' The logic defied me. He was cornered by me and didn't know what to say."

When Somy was asked if their relationship started when they started working out together, Somy explained, "No, Aishwarya and Salman fell in love during the shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. I was getting information from the servants inside who favoured me. I knew in my heart that their relationship was something that's gonna blossom. I knew it's time for me to leave."
