New Delhi: Salman Khan has been defended by veteran actor Shehzad Khan, who has brushed off rumours about the superstar's relevance and box office success. Shehzad did note, nevertheless, that Salman's films sometimes suffer as a result of his accommodation of friends without jobs.
Addressing the talk about Salman Khan's series of underperforming films, Shehzad clearly declared, “That’s nonsense. Total nonsense. Yes, his films not working is one thing, but Salman Khan can never be finished. Until God calls him, he will keep going. There’s no replacement for Salman Khan. Tiger is alive — and Tiger will remain alive. His films will come and be super-duper hits. This talk about him being finished is total nonsense. All those running their shops on YouTube by speaking against him — we shouldn’t take them seriously.”
Shehzad Khan Praises Salman's Selflessness
Shehzad, who has been friends with Salman for a long time, also spoke out against the actor's critics, who have questioned his career trajectory and film selections.
Shehzad Khan explained, “All his scripts that go wrong are because he tries to accommodate his friends, who have no work. I won’t take names, but there’s an actor he gave a break to in Sikandar. That person said, ‘Bhai, I don’t have work,’ and Salman simply said, ‘Do Sikandar.’ That’s who he is. He helps selflessly. He doesn’t expect loyalty. He believes God is the giver. He’s never done anything with selfish motives.”
Salman Khan's Last Films
Salman Khan has had a string of disappointing box office results with his recent filmography. With a global total of barely Rs 184.6 crore, his highly anticipated 2023 film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' was a commercial failure. 'Tiger 3', his second major release that year, also failed to meet expectations, grossing Rs 464 crore worldwide, which is disheartening considering the immense fan following of the series.
The actor's latest venture, 'Sikandar', directed by A.R. Murugadoss, also failed to live up to the hype.
