Fashion designer and 'The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' star Seema Sajdeh, who parted ways with actor and filmmaker Sohail Khan after more than two decades of marriage, recently opened up about the emotional toll her divorce took on her. In a candid conversation with Janice Sequeira, Seema recalled her experience navigating the family court system and shared her perspective on what truly ends a relationship.

Seema, who was married to Sohail Khan for 24 years, said the family court experience left her feeling diminished. “The way they call your name like you’re at a railway station. They’re yelling your name, and people are looking. You feel so small, insignificant, unimportant, dispensable! I remember just feeling like, ‘Is this what this is all about? Is this what it comes down to? And when he (the judge) said, ‘Granted,’ I felt something died within me,” she said.
Reflecting on the challenges of a strained marriage, she noted that constant conflict between partners not only affects their relationship but also impacts how they show up for their children. “When a couple is constantly bickering, it affects not only their relationship but also their ability to fully support their kids,” she said.
Seema on infidelity
Seema also shared her thoughts on infidelity, describing it as something that, while painful, isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker. “I’m saying honestly, an affair is not a deal-breaker. We are human. You grow from it. And it also depends on what type of affair it was. Even if you're thinking about someone, you've already cheated. The deal-breaker actually is to see how the two of you are going through life. Life is short, live it and be happy. Laughter is the best medicine, and the day you stop laughing together, it's over.”
About Seema and Sohail Khan's marriage
Before tying the knot with Sohail Khan in 1998, Seema had been engaged to businessman Vikram Ahuja, a relationship she eventually called off. She and Sohail went on to have an Arya Samaj wedding followed by a nikkah ceremony. The couple welcomed their sons, Nirvan in 2000 and Yohan in 2011. They officially separated in 2022.
Today, Seema has found a new beginning, having rekindled her relationship with Vikram Ahuja. On the latest season of 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives', she revealed she’s dating him again, calling it a “circle of life” and expressing gratitude for finding love once more.
