Salman Khan, known for his quirky and unpredictable social media presence, left the internet scratching their heads yet again—this time with a birthday message for his brother-in-law, producer Atul Agnihotri. While the intention behind the post was heartfelt, the way it was worded had many fans doing a double take.

Salman Khan’s wish raises eyebrows

Early Wednesday morning, Salman took to Instagram to wish Atul on his 55th birthday, sharing a candid photo of Atul resting his head on wife Alvira Khan Agnihotri’s shoulder. In the image, Alvira is seen looking down at her husband as he appears to be napping.

Alongside the picture, Salman penned a message that left many puzzled. He wrote, Happy birthday Atul my bil means brother in law. Thank u for taking care of my sister I love u man. Best husband n father now can u plz be u the man I knew, 1 day I vil be the Man U r. Wake up brother. @atulreellife.”

Internet reacts to Salman's message

The cryptic note instantly sparked a flurry of reactions in the comment section—some amused, others completely lost in translation.

From fans trying to decode Salman’s grammar to others assuming he had posted under the influence, the reactions came in thick and fast.

“Salmon bhai what’re you even saying,” joked one user, while another quipped, “Salman bhai esi pic lgaate h… me to RIP likhne wala tha (You post such photos? I almost wrote RIP).”

“Seems this message was written in full party mode,” read one cheeky comment, while another fan chimed in with, “Bhai daru peeke post mat dala karo (Please don’t post after drinking).”

One of the most popular reactions summed up the confusion with, “Post samajh nahi aya... Bday wish thi ya koi dhamki thi (Didn’t understand—was this a wish or a threat?).”

Atul and Salman’s bond goes back decades. Atul met Alvira on the sets of 'Jagriti' in 1992, where she had come to visit her brother. They tied the knot in 1995 and are parents to two children, Ayaan and Alizeh. Atul has also produced several Salman-led films, including Bodyguard and Bharat.

Salman’s upcoming projects

On the work front, Salman is gearing up for 'Battle of Galwan', a patriotic drama based on the 2020 face-off between Indian and Chinese soldiers in Ladakh. The first look, shared earlier this month, shows Salman in military gear, bloodied yet determined, with the line: “Over 15,000 feet above sea level, India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet.”

Before this, Salman was seen in 'Sikandar', a high-octane action film directed by AR Murugadoss and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. Despite a stellar ensemble cast featuring Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Jatin Sarna, Sanjay Kapoor, and others, the film failed to impress critics and struggled at the box office.
