We are relieved to hear that he is stable and recovering, and we pray that tough times are over, and he bounces back to normalcy at the earliest. The fact that it happened, however, only highlights the absolute shambles law & order is in Maharashtra. Over the past 3 years, hit and run cases, actors and politicians being threatened and cases like those in Beed and Parbhani only show that the Government has been an absolute failure in curbing crime and maintaining law and order. Do we have anyone in the government that cares about citizen safety at all?"

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital Said, “Fortunately, Mr Saif Ali Khan’s surgery has been done very well. Sanjay Raut made a statement regarding the attack on Saif Ali Khan, criticising the law and order situation in Maharashtra:
"For the past three years, law and order in Maharashtra has been in disarray. Everyone's focus is only on gatherings, conferences, festivals, the welcome of the Prime Minister, and political camps. As a result, law and order has broken down everywhere, from Beed to Mumbai, and from Chanda to Banda.
Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife, and while the Prime Minister is in Mumbai, all security is focused on him. Even though the Prime Minister is in Mumbai, it is the responsibility of the state's Home Minister to consider what is happening in the state. If we speak out on this, it creates problems for them.
The common people in Maharashtra have no protection. Thieves and dacoits can enter anywhere—on the streets, in homes, or in slums. While there is heavy security outside the homes of big celebrities, even there, thieves can easily break in and attack.
This is a big blow to Narendra Modi. Just 15 days ago, Saif Ali Khan and his family met Modi, and now he has been attacked. No one is safe in this state. Women find it difficult to walk on the streets. The state's Home Minister needs to understand this.
Ninety percent of the state's security is dedicated to protecting corrupt leaders and influential people. If any sub-branch head is attacked, they receive two gunmen, and district heads get five gunmen. Common people have no security, but corrupt builders receive full protection. Saif Ali Khan was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India, yet even those who have received such honors are not safe in Mumbai."
Director Siddharth Anand, known for his work on 'Pathaan', visited Saif Ali Khan at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai. Saif had previously worked with Siddharth in films like 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' and 'Salaam Namaste'.
