Actor Saif Ali Khan was recently attacked with a sharp weapon at his residence, resulting in injuries that required hospitalisation, as reported by PTI. The incident has left fans and the public in shock. 

According to the police, an unidentified robber broke into Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday, January 16. He reportedly stabbed the actor with a knife at around 2 am, after which Saif was taken to Leelawati Hospital in Mumbai for medical treatment.

The suspect allegedly confronted Saif Ali Khan's housekeeper after breaking into his residence. As soon as the actor tried to step in, the intruder stabbed him. Saif Ali Khan's family members were present at the house during the incident.

Reports suggest that there was no forced entry into Saif Ali Khan's house.

Saif sustained several injuries, including a 10 cm wound on the back of his neck, a cut on his left hand, and a serious injury where an object was inserted into his back. The surgery is currently underway, as confirmed by Lilavati Hospital. He is being operated upon by a team of doctors led by Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain and anaesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi.

The police have taken some of the staff members present at Saif's house for questioning.

An official statement from Saif Ali Khan’s team confirmed the details, stating, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter  We will keep you updated on the situation."
