New Delhi: Renowned actor Ronit Roy expressed his frustration towards a food delivery person who, according to him, posed a threat to his safety by riding on the wrong side of the road and said that he "almost killed" him.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Ronit urged Swiggy, the online food ordering and delivery platform, to provide proper riding instructions for their delivery personnel.
In a tweet, the actor conveyed his concern: "@Swiggy I almost killed one of your riders. They definitely need instructions on riding. Riding those small electric mopeds doesn’t mean that they ride on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic. But then, Do you even care for their lives or is it just business as usual?"
Swiggy responded by stating that they "expect" their delivery partners to adhere to all traffic rules and assured Ronit that they would look into the matter. They also requested him to share any available details for necessary action.

Ronit Roy, who made his debut in 1992 with 'Jaan Tere Naam,' gained prominence through the TV show 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay,' portraying the character of Rishabh Bajaj. His noteworthy performance in the 2010 film 'Udaan' earned him acclaim, leading to a resurgence in his film career.
The actor has been part of various movies such as 'Two States,' 'Boss,' 'Jai Lava Kusa,' 'Loveyatri,' and 'Liger,' to name a few. His most recent on-screen appearance was in the 2023 film 'Farrey.'
