New Delhi: Raj Kundra is about to embark on his acting career. But he had a really cheeky remark when asked if he would ever act alongside his wife Shilpa Shetty in an interview with Pinkvilla. On November 3, Raj's first film, UT69, is expected to hit theatres.

"I'm a newcomer, These A-listers won't work with me," Raj jokingly replied when asked if he has any plans to collaborate with wife and actress Shilpa on a movie. In the same interview, Raj disclosed that, while Punjabi was his first language at home, he had always been enthralled with Bollywood and had learned Hindi through films.

Additionally, he mentioned that when he was eighteen, he attended Padmini Kolahpure's acting school in London. When Raj showed Padmini the UT69 trailer, she reassured him that she always believed in his acting prowess and that it was still possible for him to establish himself in Bollywood.

Raj revealed that he was 18 years old when he had his first photo shoot done by celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani. Dabboo has been mocking Raj over the fact that he received his portfolio in 1990 but is just now making his public debut 23 years later.

In 2009, Shilpa and Raj exchanged vows. Their two kids are named Viaan and Samisha. Raj had previously revealed that Shilpa had mockingly questioned him, "Tu acting kar lega?" after he told her of his acting debut.

Thirty years ago, Shilpa made his Bollywood debut in Abbas-Mustan's romantic thriller Baazigar (1993) starring Shah Rukh Khan. She will next be seen in Rohit Shetty's cop drama Indian Police Force, also starring Sidharth Malhotra and Vivek Oberoi. She was last seen in Sukhi.

Raj was caught in a pornography case, and his first film, UT69, chronicles his ordeals as an undertrial at the Arthur Road Mumbai prison.
