Diljit Dosanjh shares Met Gala invite

On Monday, Diljit shared a video proudly showing his Met Gala 2025 invite and revealed several interesting details about it. Diljit took to Instagram to share a video from his hotel room, where he spoke about receiving his Met Gala 2025 invite. He captioned the post: "MET GALA Tomorrow. Daso Fer Ki Paiye Kal Nu; Halaa Laa Laa Karauni An (Tell me what to wear tomorrow, need to dazzle everyone)."

In the video, Diljit playfully joked that his friends should stop sending him wedding invites, because he's got something far more exclusive: an invitation to the Met Gala. He went on to read from the invite, showcase its sleek cover, and discuss this year’s theme, “Black Dandyism.”

Diljit also shared details about the star-studded guest list, revealing that he’ll be seated alongside big names like NBA legend LeBron James and rapper A$AP Rocky. He even gave a shout-out to Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor-in-chief and the iconic host of the Met Gala.

In a funny moment from the video, Diljit said a rule from the invite stating that photography is strictly prohibited at the event. "Can’t make reels," he joked in Punjabi, poking fun at the no-phone policy. He also pointed out that the invite admits only one person, quipping, “Per person, per plate da hisaab hai (It’s a per person, per plate setup),” playfully comparing the exclusive nature of the Met Gala to the per-plate arrangements commonly seen at Indian weddings.
