New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan has been on the rise with his successful horror-comedy outing ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ which opened the Bollywood box office jinx post COVID-19. Kartik has since then been a part of films on OTT and theatres and has been garnering much acclaim and appreciation for his performances and a fandom that continues to only see a high that gets higher.
As the star awaits the release of his upcoming film ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik sat down for an interview with Lallantop where he spoke about his journey, his upcoming film and walking out of ‘Dostana 2’.
Kartik Aaryan on walking out of Dostana 2
When the interviewer questioned Aaryan about a campaign against him in Bollywood that followed him after he walked out of Karan Johan-backed ‘Dostana 2’, Kartik said, "Dekhiye, voh boht purani baat ho gyi. Kai bar boht miscommunicate hai aur kai bar boht cheezein out of proportion bhi chali jati hai aur sepcifically jab voh likha jata hai to voh sound kuch aur karta hai."( This news is quite stale now. Many a times, there is miscommunication or something blown out of proportion especially when something is written and it sounds completely different).
When Kartik Aaryan was asked to shed light on what actually happened, the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ actor deferred to answer and shared that he has not spoken about it ever. Saying that when the incident happened, “Main tab bhi silent tha and ab bhi silent huin un baton pe Main bas 100 pratishat kam karta huin, lekin jab bhi aise koi khabar ati hai ya koi controversy aa jati hai to main apne shell mein rehta huin, main shant rehta huin.Main un cheezon mein zyada ghusta huin, aur na mujhe kuch proove karne se mujhe kuch milta hai." (I was silent when the news came about and I choose to stay silent even now. I am 100% focused on my work and when controversies of such nature happen, I stay clam about them. I don't get involved a lot in them and I don't have to prove anything to anyone by getting involved).
Kartik also shed on his upcoming film 'Chandu Champion' and his experience of working on the project.
