Bollywood actress and newly elected Lok Sabha MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut, on Saturday reacted to a video featuring Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni taking a selfie with India's PM Narendra Modi. The two leaders met during the G7 Outreach Summit in Apulia, Italy, where they engaged in bilateral talks.

PM Modi and Italian PM Meloni's video

Italy's PM Meloni posted the video with PM Modi taking a selfie. In the video, Meloni can be heard saying: "Hello from the Meloni team," as she and PM Modi smile for the camera. The video, initially posted by PM Meloni on her X handle, showcases the camaraderie between the two leaders.

Kangana's reaction

Kangana shared the video and wrote: "One of the most endearing qualities of Modi ji is that he makes women feel that he is rooting for them and wants them to rise [followed by a heart emoji]. No wonder PM Meloni thinks that Modi ji is team Meloni.”

PM Modi's visit to Italy's Apulia region for the G7 Outreach Summit marked his first overseas trip after beginning his third consecutive term in office. This is not the first time PM Meloni has shared a selfie with Modi; during the COP28 summit in Dubai last December, she posted a selfie captioned 'Good friends at COP28'.

PM Modi re-shared Meloni’s recent video on his X account, writing: “Long live India-Italy friendship!”

Meanwhile, Kangana is enjoying some quality time with her family. She recently wished her cousin Varun on his wedding via Instagram stories, sharing a picture of the couple and writing: “Le bhai tera bhi ho gaya kaam, sabse chota lekin shaadi ki sabse jaldi."

On the professional front, Kangana is preparing for her directorial project, 'Emergency,' where she will portray former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film delves into the turbulent period of the 1975–1977 Emergency.
