New Delhi: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was treated to a special screening of ‘Tejas’, starring Kangana Ranaut. Despite a disappointing opening weekend at the box office, the new Kangana Ranaut-starring film Tejas seems to be hitting the mark with its intended audience. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath recently got emotional while watching the film. The same was confirmed by Kangana Ranaut via a tweet on X (previously Twitter).
Kangana Ranaut posted photos from the event on X (previously Twitter) and said the UP CM was moved to tears during the screening of ‘Tejas’.
Kangana wrote, "Today hosted a screening of #tejas a film based on a soldier / Martyr’s life for honourable Chief Minister @myogiadityanath ji As you can see in the first picture Maharaj ji couldn’t hold back his tears in the last monologue of Tejas. Ek soldier kya chahta hai.”
ANI shared a video of Kangana being cheerful after the screening. She mentioned how much UP CM liked the film.

The National Award–winning actress who has gone above and beyond to promote her film, will no doubt take heart from this state leader’s stamp of support, which comes despite negative reviews of ‘Tejas’.
The opening weekend of 'Tejas,' starring Kangana Ranaut, was not very successful at the box office, and the film's first Monday collection was below Rs 1 crore. A report on Sacnilk.com states that the Sarvesh Mewara directorial made Rs 50 lakh on its first Monday, bringing the total box office take to Rs 4.25 crore.
