New Delhi: Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has praised Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan for choosing to direct films rather than act like other star kids. On November 19, Aryan unveiled his first project, a Bollywood series on Netflix. This prompted Kangana to respond by stressing the need for more people to work behind the camera

In an Instagram post, Kangana Ranaut gushed about Aryan Khan, writing, “It is great that children from film families are going beyond just wanting to wear makeup, lose weight, doll up and think they are actors.”

She added, "We should collectively uplift the standards of Indian cinema, as that is the need of the hour. Those with resources often end up taking the easiest roads. We need more people behind the cameras. It’s good that Aryan Khan is taking the road less traveled. I look forward to his debut as a writer and filmmaker."

Not only Kangana, but Aryan's sister Suhana Khan and Karan Johar also sent their congratulations. Karan took to social media and wrote, "Love you, Aryan!!!! I am so, so, so proud of you and can’t wait for the world to see your incredible series!!!! It’s going to ROCK and RULE!!!"

Suhana Khan wrote, "Lots of laughs, drama, action, and a little bit of trouble — just like it always is with you. @aryan I cannot wait! So proud."
