Jacqueline Fernandez's mother, Kim Fernandez, has passed away following a stroke. The actress was recently spotted outside Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where her mother was admitted. Jacqueline appeared visibly emotional and avoided the paparazzi as she quickly exited her car and rushed inside the hospital. Dressed in a white outfit with her face partially covered, Jacqueline made no public statement and kept a low profile during the difficult moment.
Kim Fernandez passes away
On March 24, Kim Fernandez was admitted to the ICU at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital after suffering a heart attack. Jacqueline, known to be extremely close to her mother, rushed to be by her side and had been frequently visiting her during her treatment. Despite her busy schedule, the actress stayed away from public appearances, including a planned performance at the IPL ceremony, to be near her ailing mother.
Although Kim Fernandez preferred to live a life away from the limelight, she remained a constant pillar of support for Jacqueline. Her sudden passing has left the family devastated. Sources close to the actress have shared that the funeral and last rites will be held in a private ceremony attended only by close friends and family. Jacqueline is yet to release an official statement or obituary.
Previously, a source informed Hindustan Times that Jacqueline had withdrawn from the IPL 2025 opening ceremony and her planned appearance at the Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders match in Guwahati on March 26. "Jacqueline’s mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further updates from the doctors, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother’s side and will be missing the IPL performance," the source had said.
