Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during an attempted burglary at his Bandra home in the early hours of Thursday. The incident, which occurred around 2:30 AM, left the actor with knife wounds to his neck, spine, and other areas as he reportedly tried to protect his house staff. Saif was rushed to Lilavati Hospital by his eldest son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, where he underwent surgery.

His team has confirmed that the actor is out of danger, while fans and celebrities have taken to social media to call him a “real-life hero.”

Saif Ali Khan Called a ‘Hero’

“Saif Ali Khan proved to be a real-life hero as well,” wrote one user on X (formerly Twitter), reacting to reports that Saif was stabbed while defending his family. Another user posted, “#SaifAliKhan is real life hero. Praying for him.”

In an official statement released by Saif’s team, they said, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s team also issued a statement, saying, “There was an attempted burglary in Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in the hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police is already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern. Team Kareena Kapoor Khan.”

Reports from ANI confirmed that “an unknown person entered Actor Saif Ali Khan’s residence and argued with his maid late last night.” At the time of the attack, Kareena and their two sons, Taimur and Jeh, were also present in the house. Saif sustained injuries while confronting the intruder to protect his domestic worker.
