Imran Khan's comeback has been much-awaited by fans ever since the actor began sharing content actively on social media last year. Trends with hashtags like 'Laut Aao Imran Khan' have created another level of buzz everywhere. And now, it seems that many prayers have been answered.
Imran Khan's upcoming film
HT City quoted a source close to the publication, stating that Imran Khan's film will stream on Netflix. The shoot for the film will begin in April 2025. “The platform wants to make the first announcement themselves. Bhumi Pednekar is locked for the leading role alongside Imran. The pre-production work is in full swing, and the cameras will roll in a month,” the source was quoted as saying.
Earlier, there were reports in September 2024 that the script of the film had been written by Danish Aslam, and the film was likely to be produced by the mentioned source, Imran, and another friend.
"They took the project to a streaming platform, who, based on the pitch alone, gave it a thumbs up, even though there was no full screenplay. No agreement has been signed yet; that will only be done when the screenplay is approved,” HT quotes another source close to the development.
Earlier, during an interview when Imran was asked about his upcoming project, he said, "I can't really talk about that too much right now. I am working with him (Imran) on something, and there has already been some stuff about it in the press as well. Some of it is true, some of it is not. Unfortunately, it is a project that is still a work in progress. So, the moment things are locked and fall into place, we will very happily announce it to the world. But all I can say is that I am working with Imran Khan on something."
