New Delhi: It's been 30 years since the release of the Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla romantic comedy 'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’. The Mahesh Bhatt film about a guy caring for his deceased sister's children was a critical and commercial success. Maya, the daughter of businessman Bijlani, portrayed by Navneet Nishan, falls in love with Rahul, played by Aamir, and wants to marry him. In a recent interview, Navneet Nishan spoke about some of the humorous moments that occurred during the shoot.
Navneet Nishan said that the naughty Aamir Khan had her kiss his cheek many times while filming a scene. Navneet told Hindustan Times, "There was a cute scene which got edited, sadly. After our engagement, I go to Aamir’s house to pick him up and give him a peck on the cheek. There was a lipstick mark on his cheek when I kissed him. And later, Aamir being Aamir said ‘This has to be in continuity’. So, all through the day, he made me kiss his cheek at least 7-8 times."
She added, "I came home and I told my friends that I have kissed Aamir Khan all day long! Meri toh lottery nikal gayi."
'Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke', starring Juhi Chawla, Kunal Khemmu (as a child actor), Tiku Talsania, Mushtaq Khan, Javed Khan, and others was released on July 5, 1993. The film also took home the honour of "Special Mention" at the National Film Awards ceremony.
