In several video clips from the concert that have been doing the rounds on social media, Diljit introduces Deepika through her brand 82 E. After people recognise who the brand belongs to, Diljit says that everytime he comes to India, goodies from DP’s brand are sent to him, which he uses and stays ‘handsome’.
However, Dosanjh also added that this was no promotion for her brand, he was only doing it out of goodwill.
Deepika is seen sitting backstage on the floor as she listens to Diljit's introduction of her calling it 'so sweet'. Diljit Dosanjh also calls Deepika 'Bangalore ki shaan' as he welcomes her on stage.
Diljit also praised Deepika on stage and complimented her work saying, "Deepika Padukone guys. Can you believe it? Kitna pyara inhone kam kia hai, humne inhe bade parde pe dekha hai aur apne dum pe jinhone jaga banayi hai Bollywood mein. Aap sabko faqr hona chahiye, hum sabko faqr hona chahiye. Boht Boht pyaar..." (Deepika has done some wonderful work on the silver screen. And, she has done all this by herself, creating a space in Bollywood all on her own. Lots of love.)
Deepika's maternity break
The concert marked a rare public appearance for Deepika Padukone, who has been on maternity leave since the birth of her daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, in September. Deepika and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, shared the news of their baby’s arrival on November 1 through an Instagram post, featuring a photo of Dua's tiny feet.
On the professional front, Deepika recently starred in the sci-fi blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. She portrayed the character SU-M80, a pregnant woman navigating a dystopian future. The film was a commercial success, and discussions for a sequel are already in progress. Additionally, Deepika took on a significant role in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, where she played Shakti Shetty.
