New Delhi: Bobby Deol has been enjoying the limelight as a result of ‘Animal' popularity. The actor portrayed the villain Abrar in the film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. On December 1, 2023, Deol and Ranbir Kapoor squared off in a brutal thriller. His performance of Jamal Kuddu's dance also became viral. It was recently reported that Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana producers contacted Bobby about a part in the film. Bobby received an offer to play Kumbhkaran in Ramayana, according to the media report.
According to an article in Etimes, nobody has contacted Bobby Deol for playing Kumbhkaran in ‘Ramayana’. The actor’s team has disputed the rumours that have been circulating and said that Bobby Deol is not a part of Nitesh Tiwari's film.
Regarding Nitesh Tiwari’s film, it will have Yash as Ravan, Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. Lara Dutta is also on board with a significant role, according to Pinkvilla, while Sunny Deol is contemplating playing Lord Hanuman. Further rumours have it that KGF actor Yash will be portraying the role of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's next film.
No formal word has been released on the filming of ‘Ramayana’ just yet. Ranbir will start shooting the first segment in around two months, and Lara will join the crew around the same time.
The film is set to be released in the second half of 2025 and boasts a huge budget, significant visual effects, and groundbreaking action scenes.
Coming back to Bobby Deol, he made a successful return to film following a four-year hiatus from 2013 to 2017. He has been in three films in the last three years: 'Love Hostel', 'Aashram' and 'Class of 83'.
