'Bigg Boss OTT 3' finalist Ranvir Shorey recently shared that after his breakup with Pooja Bhatt, he was physically assaulted by her brother. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Ranvir also claimed that Pooja's father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, spread false rumours about him.

Ranvir Shorey on his breakup with Pooja Bhatt

Reflecting on his relationship with Pooja, Ranvir said, “At the time we had a conflict, I felt that the respect I had for him, he used that manipulatively. When the fight happened, he told my father, ‘Ok, we will rest the matter here, whatever the fight happened between the kids.’ Next day, he proceeded to print utter lies about me, planted false stories in the media against me, painting me as an alcoholic abusive person. All lies!”

He further added, “Her brother was the one, who assaulted me. He (Mahesh Bhatt) could have told these guys not to talk like that…. In that sense I felt he was manipulative towards me. These are all 25 years old stories, I don’t want to get into them now.”

Ranvir calls Sana Makbul 'female chauvinist'

Ranvir also shared his thoughts on his Bigg Boss OTT 3 co-contestant Sana Makbul. When asked about Sana calling him a male chauvinist, Ranvir responded, "Sana is actually a female chauvinist. I believe that respect is a two-way street—when you show respect to others, you receive it in return. Being a woman doesn’t justify misbehavior or a lack of accountability. When she disrespected me, I responded in kind. There's no point in complaining about not being respected if you don’t show respect yourself. Initially, Sana and I got along quite well, but as our disagreements grew, she started twisting things, and that became a pattern."

Ranvir's upcoming project

Ranvir's next appearance will be in the crime-thriller series ‘Shekhar Home’, which is inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes. Kay Kay Menon will portray the lead role, drawing from Sherlock, while Ranvir’s character, Jayvrat Sahni, is loosely modeled after John H. Watson. The series also stars Kirti Kulhari, Rasika Duggal, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in pivotal roles. Shekhar Home is set to release on August 14 and will be available for streaming on Jio Cinema.
