New Delhi: Arjun Kapoor, who first appeared on the big screen in Habib Faisal's 2012 film ‘Ishaqzaade’, recently discussed his early concerns about working with Parineeti Chopra. The actor, who co-starred with Parineeti in the romantic actioner, said that he had doubts about having her appear in the YRF film at first.
In an interview with Mashable India, Arjun said that he had serious doubts about working with Parineeti initially. During their first meetings on-site, Arjun recounted a significant experience that stuck with him. While Parineeti was still on set, he remembered making a joke and her response being the term "LOL" rather than proper laughter. "I was like, ‘Can’t you just laugh?’ It’s not a chat, right? Why are you saying ‘lol’ (laugh out loud)? Just laugh. I found her irritating since she talked in emojis," Arjun said.
The actor clarified his comments by jokingly remembering how he had doubts about her acting abilities due to her overly chatty personality. Arjun recalled, “Mai 6 mahine se wait kar raha hu ki Zoya mil jae, and Zoya aa ke ‘LOL LOL’ kar rahi thi. I was like, ‘My career is over. This girl is not interested.’”
Arjun and Parineeti were both lauded for their roles in the hit film 'Ishaqzaade'.
